Honeymoon in Vegas

Bridal doesn't have to be boring. When Britney Spears got hitched at a Vegas chapel, I knew I had to convince my editors to send me to Sin City to shoot punk rock brides in trucker hats. I organized this shoot from Denver, setting up multiple locations ranging from Treasure Island (where we got a cast member to pose with our model) to the Bellagio to club du jour Tao to the neon sign graveyard. I also got former Rocky scribe and current Vegas gossip columnist Norm Clarke (who broke the Britney story) to pose in a Palms driver uniform in front of the chapel where the pop star said her vows. I particularly love the shot of "Elvis" (our makeup artist) at In & Out Burger (shot guerilla style -- we even got a teen working there to stealthily lend us his trucker cap). All done in two long days on a tight newspaper budget. Which means pretty much nothing. I also designed these pages.
