I wanted to incorporate music into this New Year's spread, so in early December, I started organizing photo shoots with national acts that were touring through Denver. I picked the same two models and used the same stylist/hair and makeup artist for continuity. We got on the bus with Jurrasic Five, hit the tiny stage with the Rev. Horton Heat at the Lion's Lair, went backstage with Unwritten Law and Good Charlotte and rocked in the front row at Avril Lagvine's show. I also designed these pages.
I'd been thinking about old Hollywood glamour and decided a shoot saluting my favorite screen sirens from each decade would be a perfect way to spotlight New Year's Eve fashions. From Clara Bow and Josephine Baker to Julia Roberts and Halle Berry, we shot all these beauties in just two days. My fave? Joan Crawford. Perfection! I also designed these pages.
